Abstract: The Unite! Researcher's Search platform is an intelligent system for discovering and connecting with researchers across multiple European universities. The platform combines semantic search, conversational AI, and interactive visualizations to accelerate research collaboration, grant proposal development, and strategic planning. Initially developed for the seven-university UNITE! alliance, the platform has been extended to include additional institutions through collaborative research projects led by Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Platform Capabilities
1. Advanced Multi-Modal Search
The platform implements semantic search using sentence-transformers (384-dimensional multilingual embeddings) to discover researchers based on conceptual similarity rather than keyword matching alone. Hybrid search combines BM25-based keyword matching with vector similarity for optimal precision and recall.
